Ultraslow Light Pulse in a SPS Photorefractive Crystal at Room Temperature

Résumé

We experimentally demonstrate that light can be decelerated in SPS photorefractive crystal. Indeed, by using a two-wave mixing process in this material, it is possible to slow-down a light pulse and simultaneously to improve the delay-bandwidth product.
