              <p>In recent years, automated minibuses have emerged as an innovative addition to public transport systems worldwide, generating interest through various pilot projects. While these initiatives have shown promising technical advancements, the full-scale implementation of such vehicles faces significant technical hurdles. This study builds upon prior research by delving into the technical developments and challenges encountered within the AVENUE project, drawing insights from discussions with manufacturers, operators, and mobility platform providers operating automated minibuses in European metropolitan areas. Specifically, the examination highlights the complexities associated with vehicle sensors, data transmission for trajectory management, and external environmental factors that can influence vehicle operation. The progress within the AVENUE project has shown that a critical evaluation underscores the ongoing need for comprehensive solutions to overcome technical obstacles and ensure the seamless integration of automated minibuses into public transportation networks. Furthermore, the findings highlight the necessity of continually enhancing the safety, efficiency, and reliability of automated minibuses.</p>

              <p>Au cours des dernières années, les minibus automatisés sont apparus comme un ajout innovant aux systèmes de transport public dans le monde entier, suscitant l'intérêt par le lancement de divers projets pilotes. Bien que ces initiatives aient montré des avancées techniques prometteuses, la mise en œuvre à grande échelle de ces véhicules se heurte à des obstacles techniques importants. Cette étude s'appuie sur des recherches antérieures en se penchant sur les développements techniques et les défis rencontrés dans le cadre du projet AVENUE, en s'appuyant sur des discussions avec des fabricants, des opérateurs et des fournisseurs de plateformes de mobilité qui exploitent des minibus automatisés dans des zones métropolitaines européennes. Plus précisément, l'examen met en lumière les complexités associées aux capteurs du véhicule, à la transmission des données pour la gestion de la trajectoire et aux facteurs environnementaux externes qui peuvent influencer le fonctionnement du véhicule. Les progrès réalisés dans le cadre du projet AVENUE ont montré qu'une évaluation critique met en évidence le besoin permanent de solutions globales pour surmonter les obstacles techniques et assurer l'intégration transparente des minibus automatisés dans les réseaux de transport public. En outre, les résultats soulignent la nécessité d'améliorer continuellement la sécurité, l'efficacité et la fiabilité des minibus automatisés.</p>
