The Duty Cycle and Contrast Ratio Trade-off in the Design of Interrupted HFSWR Waveform
Résumé
This paper studies the trade-off existing, from a Pareto optimality point of view, between duty cycle and minimal contrast ratio when designing optimal interrupted waveform for monostatic high frequency surface wave radar. The study takes into consideration the surface wave propagation loss and the effect of receiver blanking during transmission. Results are compared with the performances of equivalent conventional trains of pulse.
