A Highly Linear and Tunable Feed Forward Current Source Active Inductor in 65nm CMOS Technology for Mobile Applications
Résumé
This paper focuses on a differential tunable active inductor in CMOS 65nm process. This tunable differential active inductor is showing some high linearity and high quality factor (Q>1000) taking into account a wide input power range (-40 to 0dBm). The device is designed, simulated and layouted to be used in the frame of cellular transceivers for mobile applications. The feed-forward current source method "FFCS" was chosen to improve the linearity of a nominal structure. Two active inductors are designed (0.8 and 1.1nH) at mobile cellular frequencies. This paper leads to show the potential and the interest of using such inductors in different modules of a reconfigurable transceiver.
